History of the School
In 1941, after the Pre-war years all the Japanese Plantation in Davao area were turned over to the Philippine Alien Property Administration ( PAPA) National Abaca Fiber Corp. then to ( BPI ) Burea of Plant Industry resulting to the creating Barangay bago-Oshiro and then a MOA was assigned betwen the BPI and the Department of Education ans was notarized.
The Bago-Oshiro Elementary School was established with the coordinated efforts of the Brgy. Officials, the Inter-Agency Officials of the National Government basically and originally named after the place of location called Bago-Oshiro about 1954.
LOCATION
Barangay Bago-Oshiro is located 17 kilometers away from Davao City passing through Brgy Mintal along the Davao Calinan-Bukidnon road. From the entrance along the Davao Calinan-Bukidnon road, Brgy. Bago-Oshiro excluding the number of has. Set aside for Mintal Townsite, National Power Corporation, Animal Breeding Station, and the Soil Conservation is more or less 870 hectares. However, due to establishment of some government offices, staff, houses and schools a considerable number of hectares were allocated/apportioned to BPI-Davao Experimental Station, Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI ) Rehabilitation Center for Drug Dependents ( RCDD )and for Criminals ( RRCY ), 14th Infantry Division, ( NAPOLCOM ) Training Center, SMAP, REARC, Philippine Coconut Authority, University of the Philippines ( UP )Mindanao, 55th Engineering Brigade, Comprehensive High School, Science Centrum and the Bago-Oshiro Elementary School with more or less 1.5 hectares.
COMMUNITY SITUATION:
The community is compose of Indigenous people, and work as small business or vendors, habal2x drivers, office workers, government employees, farm workers,etc. The residents of the area belong to different tribes such as Visayan, Ilongo, Ilocano, Leyteño, Tagalog, Boholanos, and a number of Muslim people. The barangay has 1, 215 households and 1, 309 families with the total population of 8, 558 in the year 2009 and made up of 11 puroks. The increase of the the barangay population is due to the renewal of tagging of the comprehensive boundary on its four directions of the perimeter.
